Overview
Ampleforth is a project building decentralized financial infrastructure around a digital currency designed to be resilient to U.S. dollar inflation. The Ampleforth ecosystem introduces three tokens to support growth. AMPL, which serves as the currency of the system, can be used across the ecosystem for financial products and derivatives. Because AMPL is pegged to a “2019 CPI-adjusted dollar” (i.e., the purchasing power of 1 USD in January 2019), it is designed to avoid the effects of dollar inflation, and it is used as collateral on the project’s native swap platform, AMPLSWAP, as well as on the Aave lending platform.
