Overview
Arweave (AR) is a decentralized network that provides a “permaweb” service for permanent data storage, connecting individuals and businesses that need to store data or host content indefinitely with those who can supply drive space. With a one-time upfront payment, data can be stored for a lifetime, and by leveraging decentralized servers, the network is designed to reduce costs and improve performance as adoption grows. AR is the native token of the Arweave network and is used for network fees, interacting with dApps, paying storage costs, and rewarding miners.
