Overview
Babylon is a protocol designed to enhance the security of Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchains by leveraging Bitcoin staking, while enabling Bitcoin liquidity to be utilized across DeFi and other decentralized networks. The BABY token is used for network transaction fees (gas), staking rewards that combine BABY and BTC, and participation in governance.
