Overview
Berachain is a Layer 1 blockchain that uses Proof of Liquidity (PoL). By leveraging its proprietary consensus mechanism, it aims to align the incentives of network security providers and liquidity providers to drive long-term growth. Berachain adopts a two-token model, using BERA and BGT to operate the blockchain. Users who interact with certain applications on Berachain can earn Proof of Liquidity rewards. The BERA token is used for transaction fees, staking, and other network functions.
