Overview
The Canton Network is a privacy-enabled Layer 1 blockchain network designed for global financial institutions. Built on the Daml smart contract language and a dedicated synchronization layer, the Canton Network supports real-time synchronization and settlement of various real-world assets (RWAs) on-chain, including bonds, gold, and money market funds.
The network’s native token, CC, is used for transaction fee payments, validator incentives, and payments for application and infrastructure usage. A portion of transaction fees is adjusted through a burn mechanism, contributing to supply management.
