Overview
Cosmos (ATOM) is a network designed to support interoperability and scalability between blockchains, aiming to connect independent blockchains through the concept of the “Internet of Blockchains,” also known as the Interchain. Cosmos leverages the Tendermint BFT consensus algorithm and the Cosmos SDK to provide developers with an environment where they can easily build custom blockchains and integrate them with existing networks. The native token, ATOM, is used within the network for staking rewards, payment of transaction fees, and participation in governance. By enhancing blockchain scalability and interoperability, Cosmos promotes the growth of the decentralized ecosystem.
