Overview
HEMI is the native token of Hemi Network, a modular Layer 2 protocol designed to combine the security of Bitcoin (BTC) with the programmability of Ethereum. Hemi provides the Hemi Virtual Machine (hVM), which integrates a full Bitcoin node within an EVM-compatible environment, and enables asset transfers between Bitcoin and Ethereum through a technology called “Tunnels,” while inheriting Bitcoin’s security model via a Proof-of-Proof (PoP) consensus structure.
