Overview
Hyperliquid is a Layer 1 blockchain and trading protocol that supports on-chain order book–based perpetual futures and spot trading. It uses HyperBFT as its consensus mechanism, with state execution divided between HyperCore and HyperEVM. HyperCore operates on-chain order books for perpetual futures and spot markets, finalizing order placement, cancellation, execution, and liquidation upon block confirmation, while HyperEVM enables access to HyperCore’s liquidity and financial modules through EVM smart contracts.
