Overview
Metaplex (MPLX) is the standard digital asset infrastructure protocol on Solana and the SVM, used to create over 99% of all tokens and NFTs on Solana including NFTs, fungible tokens, RWAs, gaming assets, and DePIN assets. Its core products — compressed NFTs (Bubblegum), the next-gen digital asset standard (Core), and the decentralized indexing network (Aura) — form the backbone of Solana's digital asset economy, with 900M+ assets minted and $10B+ in transaction value facilitated. MPLX is the governance and utility token with an automatic buyback mechanism funded by 50% of monthly protocol fees, with a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens.
