Overview
MilkyWay (MILK) is an application-specific Layer 1 blockchain designed around two core functions: liquid staking (LSD) and restaking. In traditional Proof-of-Stake (PoS) networks, staked tokens are locked and cannot be utilized across other DeFi applications; however, MilkyWay enables users to stake tokens such as TIA, BABY, and INIT and receive liquid LSD tokens like milkTIA and milkBABY, which can be freely used throughout the DeFi ecosystem. MILK is the utility token of the MilkyWay ecosystem and is used for transaction fees, governance, and staking.
