Overview
Mineral is a Klaytn-based token used in a blockchain game developed and operated by SkyPeople, and it is used as a payment method for NFT item trading and paid in-game services. SkyPeople uses the Klaytn blockchain as a database to record the creation of in-game NFT items, their ownership, and transaction data. Other game data—such as in-game currency, characters, and quests—is recorded in SkyPeople’s own database and on the Hedera Hashgraph blockchain. When a user obtains an item in the game, the following process occurs. First, an item is minted as an NFT token based on predefined conditions via a smart contract on the Klaytn blockchain. When the user acquires the item, the NFT is transferred to the user’s Klaytn wallet, and ownership of the item is assigned to the user. The user can then sell the item on SkyPeople’s NFT marketplace in exchange for Mineral tokens. Throughout this process, both the transfer of item ownership and the Mineral token–based payment records are transparently stored on the Klaytn blockchain.
