Overview
Nillion Network consists of two core components: nilChain and PETnet. nilChain is Nillion’s blockchain network responsible for transaction recording, validation, and consensus, ensuring trust in a decentralized manner. PETnet (Privacy Enhancing Technology Network) is a non-blockchain infrastructure that performs Nillion’s blind computations, enabling data to be processed without decryption. Infrastructure providers on PETnet operate nodes that carry out privacy-preserving computations and serve a distinct role separate from nilChain validators.
