Overview
OlympusDAO V2 is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that owns and operates the OlympusDAO protocol, and OHM is an algorithmic stablecoin issued by the OlympusDAO protocol. OlympusDAO V2 is a DeFi protocol designed to address the problem of “mercenary liquidity.” Rather than attracting liquidity solely through incentives, OlympusDAO V2 purchases and owns liquidity from users. The protocol’s core mechanism, “bonding,” allows users to sell crypto assets—such as LP tokens from decentralized exchanges (DEXs)—to OlympusDAO, enabling OlympusDAO V2 to own DEX liquidity and thereby pursue greater OHM price stability.
