Overview
Ripple USD (RLUSD) is a U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin issued by Ripple, fully backed 1:1 by U.S. dollar deposits, U.S. Treasuries, and cash equivalents, and approved by the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). Natively issued on both the XRP Ledger (XRPL) and Ethereum blockchains, it is designed for cross-border payments, remittances, and FX settlement with near-instant, low-cost transactions. Ripple publishes monthly third-party reserve attestation reports, making transparency and regulatory compliance core pillars of RLUSD.
