Maple is a decentralized credit platform that provides institutional lending services. Users can deposit capital into liquidity pools to access fixed-yield opportunities on Maple, and these pools are managed by experienced investors known as pool delegates. Institutional borrowers seeking transparent and efficient on-chain financing can obtain undercollateralized loans on Maple without the typical burden of liquidations and margin calls. Pool delegates conduct due diligence on borrowers, negotiate loan terms, and source lending capital from designated liquidity pools. Liquidity providers can earn sustainable yields across different pools. Maple’s governance token, MPL, is used for governance, staking, and providing insurance coverage for lending pools.
