Overview
Spacecoin is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) project that combines low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite networks with blockchain technology. It aims to address issues inherent in centralized, ground-cable–based internet infrastructures, such as censorship risks, single points of failure, and regional disparities in accessibility. The Spacecoin network adopts a structure in which satellite-based nodes operate independently, enabling global internet data transmission without reliance on a single centralized provider. The SPACE token is used as a medium of exchange for paying transaction fees associated with data usage within the Spacecoin network.
