[2025 Kimchi Coin Report Card — Only Two Rated 'Excellent']

◎ Summary
Only two of the so-called 'kimchi coins' listed on Korean crypto exchanges received an Excellent grade in an objective rating.
According to rating results compiled by crypto rating platform APYWA on the 30th, among about 93 Korean projects on its recently released 'Korean-made crypto assets' theme page — excluding those under investment warning or (pending) delisting — only two, Story (IP) and Sonic (S), achieved an Excellent grade (A- or higher).
APYWA defines kimchi coins as crypto assets whose issuer is Korean, whose main service region is Korea, or which are developed and operated by a Korean business.
20 assets were rated Good (B- or higher), while 71 were rated C or below — meaning most assets listed on Korean exchanges remain at C or lower.
Some assets were even rated NR (not rateable). Regardless of listing status, insufficient liquidity, stalled development and limited global expansion appear to have weighed on their scores.
